Holding on to what is true
cannot help you, get you through
Truth is truth; it needs no holding
Can’t forget it, deep enfolding
in your genes. ‘Tis what you are
You cannot lose your shining star
It’s what you fear and what you flee
A truth you’ve hid from, can you see?
It’s strong and hale, though try you do
to hide and kill it, comfort you
with lies and sugar, stories false
of fabled fancies, call a halt to
mass distraction. Open eyes!
Someone must wake up, be wise
to that which looms so bright in thee
‘Tis only time; ’tis right to see
